Mermaid Magic - Lucy Cavendish and Serene Conneeley
•Posted on August 07 2020
Here we have a book for the Mermaids and Sea Witches. P.S. How good are Mermaids and Sea Witches?
So let's just get this out of the way, I love Lucy Cavendish. She is a massive Witch idol for me. If you follow me on Instagram you probably know this because I mention her a lot. But she's amazing and magickal and her hair...uhh it's the best. Anyway, besides being the owner of great, flowy hair, she is an amazing writer. She definitely does a good job, she picked her career extremely well.
Here she joins forces with Serene Conneeley to create Mermaid Magic, a book that explores the deep depths of ocean magick. Inside, you hear stories about mermaid folklore, sea magick, spells, potions, beautiful stories from ocean lovers who have had amazing experiences with the sea and the creatures who call it home.
The reason why I enjoyed this book so much is I am super drawn to Sea Witchery, the ocean is my happy place and I found it super informative, with so many practical activities that I could do for my own magick. I loved learning about the different animals and their spiritual meanings, the magick of different shells and hagstones, the folklore of mermaids and ways to connect with their magick. I also like that this book was super snappy, didn't drag on - you know some books just kinda...drag...on...and...you...lose...interest? This isn't like that.
I definitely recommend this one for my Sea Witchy sisters. Especially if you're a newbie, or just really need some of those Ocean Vibes in your life (Hello month 3 of Winter).
